Wall Cloud in Izard County
Funnel Cloud From Steele, MO
We have had several funnel clouds reported over the past two days. There was no damage because most of these funnels never became tornadoes, meaning they never made it to the ground.
Out of all of the photos I have seen over the past two days, this is the most impressive. This one was sent to us from Bryan Wells. He snapped this shot near Steele, MO yesterday. Great shot Bryan... My wife's grandfather (Paw Paw) and I were really close to this one, but it went back up before it made it to Highway 412 in Senath.

Highway 358 Washed Out
Part of Highway 358 in Greene County was washed out last night in the flash flooding. It's amazing to see the power from water. The boys, a friend, and I went to see the damage and it looked pretty extensive. From my understanding, they hope to have it open sometime today. I assume it will be gravel for awhile.
Two Georges and Baseball
It's rare for people to ever get the opportunity to meet their Great Grandfather, so it's wise to take many pictures! Meet George and George. This is my son's Great Grandfather, the man he was named after. I snapped this shot last night at the baseball field.
My oldest son was excited to show off his baseball skills to his "Gracie" and his Great Grandfather "Paw Paw" last night, even though he was not feeling that good. After two hits, he called it quits. He has had a stomach ache that keeps coming and going. Today he seems to be much better though.
It's been a great holiday weekend so far and it's only Saturday! We're off to show NE Arkansas to the older George.
Have a safe weekend,
Ryan
Mobile Storm Center

I love technology! I now have everything I need in the Wood Ford StormTRACKER. This evening I worked on the technology to have access to every computer in the StormCenter and it has paid off. From now on I can access StormTRACK Doppler 8 and all of the computers that make our graphics.
With an Internet air card, webcam, mic, GPS, TwitterDeck, and Gibson Ridge Radar.... I can literally go live on location with all of the weather data that I need from one vehicle and can produce a LIVE broadcast. Add in the top of the line radio equipment from Paragould Communications and I can't imagine anything else I need in a chase vehicle!
Can you tell that I'm excited?

Ever Question StormCAST?
Have a gret day, rain chances are not that high, especially after these showers move through.Happy Mother's Day!
We've had a great day so far. My wife and I not big fans of spending lots of money on days like Father's and Mother's Day, BUT I still tried to make the day special. Jenn always makes my Father's Day special, but I struggle with ideas some years!
After Church I called my mom and we chatted for a bit. Since she lives so far away, we did not visit. When I think back, my mom sure did have to put up with some craziness from me. She deserves to have some time away from me these days! LOL
Of course, I think back to my stepmom on this day, too. It does not seem like she passed away year and a half ago. The time seems a lot shorter.
I hope all of the mother's had a great day. We really appreciate you.

Accidental Tornado Siren Blast
Apparently the tornado sirens in Bay, AR just blasted on accident. We received phone calls from residents saying they were blowing, but when I called the Bay Police Department, they said it was an accident. They said that the lightning must have hit the system and sounded them.
I'm sure the residents that just took cover for no reason aren't too happy about that right now. My gut feeling tells me that we may hear more about the 2:30 AM Accidental Tornado Siren in Bay.... Stay tuned.
I'm passing the torch to Justin shortly. He'll be in call for the rest of the night.
Take care,
Ryan
2:30 AM Update
Outflow Boundary
Do you see the line of light green pushing out ahead of the strong storms? That's the outflow boundary. Imagine the winds blowing out from the storm as it moves. It's blowing dirt, bugs, etc out ahead of it and that "stuff" shows up on radar. Cool huh?

PS--- Just made an animation:
12:35 AM Update
Well... The tornado warning just expired and luckily there was no damage. There were reports of wall clouds, but that's it. I'll continue to update my Twitter feed on the right side of the page.
